Project

The Reading Riding Retrofit project creates opportunities for energy efficient school building retrofits, transportation system enhancements, Recycling improvements and volunteer “Green Teams” to support the school programs. The website is the communications hub for the program. Teachers and students can post their “Green Team” projects including any video or photos. Anyone interested in starting a project can find step-by-step instructions on the site guiding them through the process.

Process

Built using a custom WordPress template, Reading Riding Retrofit is designed to grab the user’s attention and keep them interested. To further the participation and communication of the schools, teachers and program leaders, social networking tools are directly integrated into the site via Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The look and feel is eye-catching and purposefully playful.
